SoMo Borac 2026 jury announced
As the entries for the 14th edition of SoMo Borac powered by Aleph keep coming in, the experts who will select the region’s best digital projects have now been announced. This year’s competition is once again divided into two streams, SoMo Media and SoMo Advertising, bringing together the best work from digital media, marketing, technology and communications.
The SoMo Media jury will be chaired by Mirela Hegediš Horvat of Tportal and the Croatian Digital Publishers Association, while Tihana Sedlar Krauz of Hrvatski Telekom will lead the SoMo Advertising jury. They will be joined by leading regional experts from digital media, marketing, technology and communications.
“Digital media and content are evolving at an incredible pace, and every year SoMo Borac demonstrates just how many outstanding and innovative projects are being created across our region. The quality of entries continues to rise, so I am certain that we once again have a difficult but highly inspiring task ahead of us. We are particularly excited to see how publishers and creators are responding to new trends, pushing the boundaries of storytelling and building a sustainable digital ecosystem. I therefore encourage all our colleagues to submit their best work,” said Mirela Hegediš Horvat, President of the SoMo Media Jury.
SoMo Media rewards the best projects from the digital and media industries, ranging from innovative digital products and user experiences to native advertising, storytelling and content that generates meaningful audience engagement.
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- Digital Product of the Year
- Digital Design of the Year
- SoMo Native
- Best Storytelling
- SoMo Content Engagement
- HUDI North Star
The SoMo Advertising jury is divided into four expert groups, with each member assessing categories closely connected to their area of expertise. The best work will be recognised across 12 categories, covering digital campaigns, activations and creative solutions that deliver measurable business results.
This year also introduces the new SoMo AI category, dedicated to projects that use artificial intelligence in an innovative way. The Special Mention by Aleph will recognise performance campaigns that successfully combine creativity, data and measurable outcomes.
The SoMo Grand Prix will be awarded to the best overall project within the SoMo Advertising stream, representing the competition’s highest recognition of digital excellence. The SoMoRitanac category will once again reward campaigns and projects that have raised public awareness of an important current issue.
“For years, SoMo Advertising has focused on the very best the regional digital scene has to offer: bold creativity, innovative technologies and tangible business results. I am particularly excited to see how agencies and brands are implementing artificial intelligence in their campaigns through the new SoMo AI category. Knowing how many outstanding and measurable projects are created across the region, I expect the competition to be close and the jury to face some very difficult decisions. We cannot wait to see the work everyone has been talking about and celebrate digital excellence together,” said Tihana Sedlar Krauz, President of the SoMo Advertising Jury.
Entries are open until 23 September
Anyone who has created a digital campaign, product or piece of content over the past year that got people talking can submit their work until 23 September. The winners will be announced at SoMo Borac in Zagreb on 23 October 2026.
