This year’s SoMo Borac powered by Aleph received more than 200 projects, with entries increasing across both sides of the competition compared to last year. The new categories also attracted strong interest, showing that the regional digital scene is more than ready to explore new formats and areas of competition.

Within SoMo Advertising, the largest number of entries came in SoMo Content and SoMo Digital Activation. SoMo Media also saw significant growth, with SoMo Storytelling, a category that traditionally attracts a large number of entries, standing out in particular.

This year’s new additions also saw strong interest. SoMo AI joins the competition as a new category, while SoMo Content Engagement has been introduced within SoMo Media to recognize the best organic content that successfully attracts, engages, and retains audiences.

This year will also see the first SoMo Grand Prix, a special award recognizing the best entry in SoMo Advertising.

“We’re extremely pleased with this year’s response. More than 200 submitted projects show just how active and fast-moving the regional digital scene is, and we’re particularly happy to see an increase in entries across both sides of the competition compared to last year, as well as strong interest in the new categories. The jury now has plenty of work ahead, and we’re looking forward to seeing which projects stand out and who will win the first SoMo Grand Prix,” said Ružica Vrdoljak Ličina, Executive Director of SoMo Borac.

The submitted projects will be evaluated by juries divided across the SoMo Advertising and SoMo Media categories, based on three criteria: originality and creativity, quality of execution, and results.

Judging will take place over two rounds, with the finalists announced by 16 October at the latest. Everyone will find out who the winners are only at the awards ceremony on 23 October.

SoMo Borac powered by Aleph takes place on 23 October at Tvornica kulture in Zagreb, combining the awards ceremony with a full-day conference featuring leading regional and international experts from the digital, marketing, and media industries.
